I have added a special playlist on my website about the life of Umar bin Khattab (R.A.), so everyone can understand his beautiful way of life in Makkah and Madinah.
Umar (R.A.) was once among the strongest opponents of Islam in Makkah. He was known for his power, courage, and firm personality. But when the light of the Qur’an entered his heart, his life completely changed. His acceptance of Islam gave strength to the Muslims, and they were finally able to pray openly at the Ka‘bah.
In Makkah, he showed bravery and loyalty to Islam. In Madinah, he became a pillar of justice, sacrifice, and leadership. Later, as the second Caliph after Abu Bakr (R.A.), he ruled with fairness and fear of Allah. He would walk at night to check on his people, carry food on his own shoulders for the poor, and ensure no one slept hungry.
His life teaches us:
Justice without favoritism
Simplicity despite power
Fear of Allah in leadership
Care for the poor and needy
Through this playlist, you can learn how he lived in Makkah with strength and in Madinah with justice and humility.
May Allah allow us to follow the character and sincerity of Umar (R.A.).
Please watch and reflect — his life is a lesson for all generations.
